The theater play “Side Effects” is now shown in the Lucille Lartel Theater – it is a wonderful story that has a long-standing plot familiar to the majority of theater goers and to those interested in the family issues and family troubles. In addition to the great plot and emotional expression at the stage, I was impressed by the great artistic qualities of Joely Richardson who has just returned to the New York theater stage, and of Cotter Smith who plays her successful husband trying to get involved in the high-rank politics. I enjoyed the story so much that I even wrote custom essays about the bipolar disorder and ordered papers at cheap essay writers about the psychological challenges families often experience after a long period of co-existence. The plot of the play involves the progress of Hugh Metz, a successful businessman who is pushed by more influential and rich people into politics. Mr. Metz has all qualities for becoming a really good politician – he has good manners, he is good-looking, he has a fine family, and he is ambitious. However, his wife Lindy has a bipolar disorder, and she experiences regret about the formerly successful career of a poet she used to be, while at the present moment she cannot find herself in anything, which dilutes her self-esteem in comparison with her husband’s rise. It is a great story of the family crisis, and I am sure any family, even without mental disorders, will have much to learn from it.
